Art Basel Miami Beach is wrapping up its second public day here in Florida, after a VIP day on Wednesday, and here are a few sales items that have come in over the transom.

Galerie Thaddeus Ropac had two seven-figure transactions at its booth: James Rosenquist’s Coenties Slip Studio (1961) sold for $2.7 million and John Chamberlain’s Sahsimi Mendoza (1979) sold for $1.35 million.

Politically tinged work found homes by the third day of the fair. Robert Longo’s charcoal-on-paper Untitled (Trumpsville), 2017, went for $700,000 at Metro Pictures, while Sprüth Magers sold Barbara Kruger’s Untitled (IN THE END), 2017, for $450,000.

— Henry Taylor’s very strong year hit another high note as Blum & Poe sold
Sungtae Kim — Drinking coffee in my chinatown Studio (2012) for $110,000.

— Eva Presenhuber has sold perhaps the most Instagrammable work in the fair: Ugo Rondinone’s Hunger moon (2013), a gigantic silver tree that filled up the giant booth at the front of the fair. It was $1.2 million and now all the works in the booth have sold.

— Lévy Gorvy sold Ellsworth Kelly’s Sumac (1959) for price in the range of $4-$5 million.
